Reza Akbari, emphasizing the importance of interaction and collaboration with transportation trade associations to determine priorities and resolve issues, highlighted that considering regional operational conditions and utilizing the expertise of elites and qualified individuals in delegating responsibilities is effective. Referring to the partial resolution of problems related to bus fleet imports, Akbari stated efforts are underway to strengthen the fleet using domestic production and to remove existing obstacles.

Akbari estimated the depreciation and road damage costs for this year at nearly 64 trillion tomans, while noting that the total budget allocated by the Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization to this area is only between 15 to 20 trillion tomans. However, the organization is working to improve the quality of highways and reduce the economic burden on the public, cooperating closely with the Plan and Budget Organization.

The acting head of the organization announced readiness to realize the arterial status of the Damagh-Zanjan route, a key demand of the local population, stating that after a full evaluation and determination of necessary indicators, the required groundwork will be provided.

He also mentioned plans to secure and asphalt four rural roads in Razan County by the end of this year, with programs formulated for Razan and Dargazin counties aimed at prioritizing rural road development and improving access in remote and hard-to-reach areas.

Akbari further announced upcoming reinforcement of road maintenance machinery in the region.

He added that the organization on average inaugurates or starts operations on 10 projects daily nationwide, while executing 20,000 daily activities. Addressing the livelihood issues of road maintenance personnel is a priority, and it is hoped that achieving this will alleviate a significant part of their concerns.

Finally, he noted that over 2,000 surveillance cameras are currently active on national roads, with efforts underway to reactivate inactive cameras to enhance traffic monitoring and control capacity.
